The 808 Life was originally created to promote active lifestyles physically, socially and spiritually through engagement of activities around the 808 state.  We look to go beyond the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words” by bringing videos to you whenever possible so that you get a “real picture” of what is happening.  We are a group of hobbyists who do this for the sheer joy of the video production process, photography and sharing our experiences.  Majority of the time the videos that you see here were created without charge to the artists or venues.  We are grateful for all that allow us to capture their events and hope that they are rewarded with positive exposure here or somewhere else.  As of this writing our staff consists of no more than 3 members total, with 2 camcorders, 1 digital camera and 1 computer with associated editing and production software. Our focus is to capture the lesser known events that may not otherwise have any exposure except for word of mouth or common social media networks.  The mainstream events get all the publicity they need (and have the money to make it look real good).  We are another option.  Now, please don’t think that we only cover bands, they have just been the most available.  If you think there is something that deserves attention, drop us  a line at events@the808life.com and we will see what we can do.  This is all for now as this website is still going through it’s updates.  Mahalo for your time.
